This used to be my favorite part of going through Kuwait, was going into the restrooms and seeing the people who were about to go uprange or coming back down and being able to read their stories, their words… the walls of the stalls would be covered with them… political views, religious views, secret love letters to those they left behind and confessions…
now they’re all covered up. There is so much white paint in those stalls that it chips constantly… every once in a while though, i’ll catch something from someone who just left before cleaning has a chance to cover it over or scrape it off…
